Take Action CA is a virtual, one-stop, for political activism, action alerts, fact sheets, and events in support of grassroots advocacy throughout the state of California.
Promoting Grassroots Advocacy Online:
Take Action CA is designed to bring ordinary citizens together around issues of common concern to our state and our communities. Using the Action Alert buttons on the site, you can tell your elected officials what you think and let your voice be heard. Take Action CA promotes advocacy efforts on the following issues:
• Budget and Policy Reform
• Economic Prosperity & Empowerment
• Education & Employment
• Health & Community Safety
• Criminal Justice Reform
Building a Statewide Collaborative:
Unlike other advocacy websites, Take Action CA is a collaborative of 13 non-profit organizations across California working together to make our state a better place for all of its residents. By joining forces we believe that we can combine our resources to make real policy changes, while simultaneously building bridges across issue-areas to break down the silos that so often divide us. The 13 Take Action CA member-agencies are: A New Way of Life; African American Health Institute; All of Us or None; California Pan Ethnic Health Network; California Partnership; Californians United for a Responsible Budget; Critical Resistance; Ella Baker Center; Families to Amend California’s Three Strikes; Legal Services for Prisoners with Children; The Women’s Foundation of CA; Time for Change Foundation; and, Youth Justice Coalition.
